Biblically-Based Financial Advice
All of the services provided by Copland CPA Professional
Corporation are based upon biblical principles, which include the following:
Debt Reduction (Proverbs 22:7)
We believe that minimal debt or ideally no debt is best. Hence if you're
interested in reducing both your corporate debt and your personal debt, we
would be more than pleased to help you develop and implement a plan to do
so. We have helped hundreds of people to become debt-free, and everyone
we've helped has indicated that they feel like "200 pounds came off their
back". They never realized the stress and the pressure that they were under
because of debt.
Saving (Proverbs 21:20)
Wisdom and experience have demonstrated that those individuals and companies
who purposely save a surplus of cash, will much more easily survive
recessionary times and can purchase businesses, equipment, real estate etc.
for their business at remarkably low prices. We have helped many clients
develop and implement a business and personal cash flow plan in order to
accumulate significant savings.
Budgeting (Luke 14:28-30)
Significant long-term benefits can be achieved by developing and
implementing a budget at the corporate and personal level. The objective is
to ensure that you and your company spend less than you earn each month, and
use the surplus to pay down debt and save for future needs.
Giving Generously (Proverbs 3:9&10)
Many of our clients have experienced the joy of helping those who are less
fortunate by giving financially to various charitable organizations or
directly to those in need.
Honesty & Trustworthiness Matter (Luke 16:10-12)
Honesty, integrity and trustworthiness have all become critical business
principles. We believe that being honest and trustworthy in financial
dealings is a foundation to long-term success for the staff of Copland
CPA Professional Corporation and our clients.
Diversify (Ecclesiastes 12:2)
We advise and work with our clients to develop a sound business plan which
includes diversifying business risk by not having economic dependence on one
or a small group of customers and by diversifying business activities,
interests and holdings.
Seeking Wise Counsel (Proverbs 1:5 and 15:22)
Wise decisions are made by seeking wise counsel. It can keep you from
making a lot of mistakes. We advise our clients that they can benefit from
the wisdom, experience and insight of others. When our firm does not have the
expertise that our client needs, we do not hesitate to refer our clients to
another professional. At all times, the client's interests are of utmost importance.
Being Content (Philippians 4:11-13)
Being content to live within your means, is a very practical and long-term
beneficial attitude towards money and material things. We encourage and work
with clients, not only at the corporate level but also at the personal
level, to help ensure that they can afford any financial commitments that
they assume. In Canada, with credit so easily available, it is very easy to
spend more than you earn and get into financial difficulty.
The Golden Rule (Luke 6:31 and Matthew 7:12)
is to "do to others what you would have them do to you." This means - treat others
how you would like to be treated. It is called the "golden" rule because there is
value in having this kind of respect and caring attitude for one another. Our Firm
believes that this is an underlying principle in how we conduct our practice.
